چکیده
In this article, the authors present a conceptual framework named adaptive seriational risk parity (ASRP) to extend hierarchical parity (HRP) as an asset allocation heuristic. The first step of HRP (quasi-diagonalization), determining hierarchy assets, is required for actual done in second (recursive bisectioning). original scheme, found using single-linkage clustering correlation matrix, which static tree-based method. compare performance standard with other and adaptive methods, well seriation-based methods that do not rely on trees. OMID SHAKERNIA is a senior researcher at Research Affiliates, LLC, in Newport Beach, CA. However, the mean–variance optimization methodology is diff icult to implement due to the challenges asso...
متن کاملTowards Adaptive Heuristic Planning through Machine Learning
In domain independent heuristic planning there is a number of planning systems with very good performance on some problems and very poor on others. Few attempts have been made in the past to explain this phenomenon. In this paper we use machine learning techniques to discover knowledge hidden in the dynamics of the planning process that would relate specific characteristics of a planning proble...
متن کاملStochastic Portfolio Theory: A Machine Learning Approach
In this paper we propose a novel application of Gaussian processes (GPs) to financial asset allocation. Our approach is deeply rooted in Stochastic Portfolio Theory (SPT), a stochastic analysis framework introduced by Robert Fernholz that aims at flexibly analysing the performance of certain investment strategies in stock markets relative to benchmark indices. In particular, SPT has exhibited s...

with the growth of more humanistic approaches towards teaching foreign languages, more emphasis has been put on learners’ feelings, emotions and individual differences. one of the issues in teaching and learning english as a foreign language is demotivation. the purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between the components of language learning strategies, optimism, duration o...

We modify two popular methods in machine learning, regularization and cross-validation, for the portfolio optimization problem. First, we introduce performance-based regularization (PBR), where the idea is to constrain the sample variances of the estimated portfolio risk and return. The goal of PBR is to steer the solution towards one associated with less estimation error in the performance. We...
